ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS…
Q + A
-
Absolutely! We hope to make this an event that will be fun and joyful for folks of all ages. Please consider what works best for you and your unique situation. There will be no judgement from us whether you decide to make it a date night or bring the whole crew :)
If you do decide to bring your little ones, we only ask that you help them to remain quiet during the ceremony. We know this isn’t always possible, so if it happens that your child’s behavior becomes disruptive, we would ask that you quietly remove them from the ceremony to avoid distracting other guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation! -
With consideration of our venue capacity and maximum guest count, you may or may not have an additional guest indicated on your invite. If you have been given a plus one, they will be listed on your invitation and RSVP reply card.
-
We kindly ask that you RSVP as soon as possible, and no later than May 19th, 2025. This aligns with the deadline provided to us by our vendors for the final guest count, and it is how we will ensure that everyone has a seat and a meal!
-
Yes! Please follow the signage and you will be greeted by a parking attendant who will guide you.
-
We will be offering a pre-ceremony welcome hour beginning at [TBD], with bar service and light refreshments. We hope that our guests will take this opportunity to arrive unhurried.
We ask that you plan your arrival no later than [TBD] in order to find a seat before the ceremony begins.
-
We are encouraging a loose dress code of “summer casual”. Think light and breezy garden party attire with an emphasis on pastels and earth tones.
Jackets and ties are not required. Some good options include long-sleeve or short-sleeve collared shirts, blouses, slacks, chinos, tailored linen pants, semi-formal skirts and dresses. Please avoid wearing jeans, shorts, and white or ivory dresses.
The terrain at the venue is entirely grass, gravel, and forest floor; please plan your footwear accordingly.
-
In our region, July 19th is generally a warm and sunny day, rarely dropping below 50 or exceeding 80 degrees. Statistically, there is a very low probability of precipitation. However, the Pacific Northwest is known for its unpredictability. Year round, Washingtonians tend to rely on dressing in layers and keeping a spare umbrella in the trunk of our cars. When the going gets tough, we dance in the rain!
Seeing as our venue is entirely outdoors, we will plan to have a tent reserved in the case that there is a chance of rainfall greater than 50%. Tented area will cover the reception tables only. Guests should plan to have a rain jacket or umbrella on hand if the forecast suggests the possibility of inclement weather.
-
Yes, we will be providing a selection of craft beers and organic wines. Champagne will be served for toasts.
Water, coffee, and tea, as well as non-alcoholic seltzers and sodas will also be provided.
-
This is a non-smoking venue. Please refrain from smoking on site.
-
We completely understand that unexpected things come up from time to time. Know that you will be missed! And please, let us know as soon as possible via text or phone call so that we may make necessary adjustments and inform our vendors.
-
Yes, please! While we ask that our guests have their phones silenced and tucked away during the ceremony, we happily invite you to help us document the rest of the festivities. Please share your highlights with us here:)

OUR STORY

WE MET
Chris and I were introduced by one another’s roommates while attending a music festival at Darrington Bluegrass Park. Chris was immediately smitten and went out of his way to cross paths again. I had planned to avoid dating until I finished school, but the two of us were fast friends and began hanging out regularly. During this time, we bonded over our mutual interest in art and music, plants and gardening, food and travel.

WE COMMITTED
We took it slow for the first six months, thinking I would be moving to a bigger city upon graduation. Neither of us wanted to do long distance. However, despite other plans, Chris and I fell in love, and we decided to stay with each other in Bellingham and pursue a serious relationship. It was the best decision we ever made.
Fast forward five years (countless camping/hiking/backpacking/road trips, one global pandemic, two kayaks, three relocations, one big renovation and an adorable housecat)…

HE PROPOSED
In December of 2023, we had the unique opportunity to visit Thailand to attend a destination wedding. For years we had been wanting to travel internationally together, so we planned to stay for a whole three weeks of adventure and relaxation. On the last leg of our journey, Chris took me up to a hidden mountaintop bar with panoramic views across the island of Koh Phangan. There, he got down on one knee and popped the question—and of course, I said yes!

WE MARRY
This summer we will join our hands, our hearts, and our families in marriage. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
